Pallant House Gallery Bookshop

We are an award-winning independent art bookshop working alongside Pallant House Gallery offering the best of new, remaindered and out of print books on Modern British Art in the country.

Pallant House Gallery Bookshop commissions prints, artist's multiples and stocks limited editions from the best modern and contemporary artists working in Britain today and also stocks a range of design products, cards and gifts.

A number of events, talks and booksigning’s take place at the bookshop on a regular basis. For more information please check our events page or register for our online newsletter.

We are always interested in purchasing books of comparable quality to the ones we list on our website. We also buy collections and libraries in all areas of the visual arts. If you have books or prints to sell, please contact our buyer Nicholas Higbee on either 01243 787787 or 01243 781293.

Opening Hours and Information

Pallant House Gallery is a unique combination of a Queen Anne townhouse and a contemporary building holding one of the best collections of 20th century British art in the world.

Located in central Chichester, it is only a short walk to the Gallery from Chichester Railway station and all of the city centre bus stops and car parks.

There is no admission charge to access the ground floor spaces of the Gallery, these include the Bookshop, De'Longhi Print Room, 'Field and Fork at Pallant' Restaurant and the Gallery's art reference Library.

Tuesday to Saturday: 10am – 5pm
Thursday: 10am – 8pm
Sunday/Bank Holidays: 11am – 5pm
Mondays: Closed
